Last night I had a dream in which I witnessed probably the end of all of mankind, well not all. Anyway it appeared to me I was on an island somewhere in the Pacific (I know islands in the Pacific, trust me), we were on the beach and the island seemed very far off the beaten path but I was communicating with local natives for some reason. I suppose from
our "conversation" they were trying to relay some type of message to me. They were drawing lines in the sand and making some other obscure pictures. Then I managed to figure out that they were trying to tell me something about an object that would be big; would be coming fast; and would be coming to Earth; and it would be NOW. It was at that moment we could hear a very loud noise and we looked up into the clear blue and sunny sky. We could see the meteor racing through the sky toward the Earth. We knew this could end badly; we all began to find some quick "protection" from the impact. As me and the rest of the natives all hit the sand, we felt it hit. It hit miles away but we knew we were going to feel the debris blast. Then it came, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and it lasted several minutes, at least it felt like it lasted that long. As the sand was hitting as if it were some sand blasting machine cleaning the side of some old building, I awoke, my 3 month old daughter was wailing for a "bah-bah".
So I was up now and I was glad it wasn't real. I really couldnt tell what time period it was or exactly when this event was taking place in the dream. I have had similar dreams before but I can't say this is a recurring dream, quite possibly a recurring theme maybe. Pacific island and some cataclysmic event. Anyway I got diapers to change and blessings count.
I have flood, fire and air crash dreams—a lot of Chinese dream analysis (which began through statistics, not mumbo-jumbo) indicates that disaster ones are usually a forewarning of something good happening in your life. I guess it depends on your other dreams, too, and whether they tend toward the literal or the symbolic. (Mine are the latter.)

Jack,
I have often heard this and I guess the only reason why I didnt go in that direction was how the "natives" were present and were very animated in try to explain what was to happen, they seemed to be a big part of the dream, so I really didnt know what to make of their presence. I do appreciate the statistical take on it though.
